Great care was taken during the construction of TPC Stonebrae to preserve and protect natural wildlife habitats, while at the same time incorporate the distinct natural contours of the land into the design. The golf course encompasses 75 acres of maintained turf. This acreage is part of a 450 acre parcel of land managed by Stonebrae. In 2010 TPC Stonebrae completed the final stages of environmental certification. Audubon International now recognizes TPC Stonebrae as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. This designation is achieved through a wide range of management activities within the property including wildlife habitat management, wetland establishment and enhancement and effective management of natural resources, native plant and animal species.
